Apple Original Films is once again collaborating with Brad Pitt to produce the new Formula 1 film from the director of Top Gun: Maverick with the American actor in the title role.
Still untitled, the film will follow a former pilot, played by Brad Pitt, who comes out of retirement to compete alongside a beginner. The actor will also officiate as a producer through his company Plan B Entertainment.
Jerry Bruckheimer is also involved in production, as is Formula 1 multi-champion Lewis Hamilton.
In the direction, Joseph Kosinski continues after the success of Top Gun: Maverickwhich he took over following the death of Tony Scott, director of the first movie from 1986. Ehren Kruger, one of the screenwriters of Top Gun: Maverickwas hired to write the screenplay.
It will be a new collaboration between Apple and Brad Pitt after the announcement of his participation in the next movie by Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home), in duet with his great friend George Clooney.

The studio fills its catalog a little more after acquiring the next two projects from Martin Scorsese.
