Apple would have in its boxes an iPad Pro equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 14.1″, according to the sources of Ross Young. The panel would of course be Mini-LED technology with ProMotion (120 Hz) for a smoother display. The analyst specifies not to be sure of the calendar, evoking a release at the beginning of the year 2023 but without certainty. Specialized in screens, Ross Young is starting to make a name for himself: it was he who accurately announced the change from 13.3 “to 13.6” of the MacBook Air M2 this year.
The current range consists of two models of 11″ and 12.9″. The iPad Pro with M1 chip were released in April 2021 and some rumors envisage the switch to the Apple M2 chip at the end of 2022, but a delay leading to a launch in early 2023 cannot be ruled out. especially in the current context of shortage of components.
iPad Pro 12.9″ and 11″
Besides the Apple M2 chip, the next iPad Pros could gain compatibility with MagSafe wireless charging which could be integrated into the Apple logo on the back of the tablets, and there should be better cameras as well as a more capacity battery. To support the changes in use of the iPad Pro, which is increasingly used in landscape orientation, Apple could move Face ID and the webcam to the side of the tablet. Note that the next 11″ model could still be without a Mini-LED screen.
