The CEO of Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA), Elon Musksaid he once spoke with a virtual version of himself after uploading his brain to the cloud.
“I’ve done it before,” Musk wrote on Twitter Inc. (NYSE:TWTR), in response to a question from the co-founder of Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE), Billy Markus.

The billionaire entrepreneur was presumably referring to his neurotech company, Neuralink, which is working on the development of a brain-computer interface. The device would allow a computer to translate a person’s thoughts into action, allowing them – among other things – to press buttons just by thinking about them.
Earlier this year, Fortune reported that, according to Musk, these devices would send information back from the computer to the brain.
Neuralink has yet to receive FDA approval, but Musk had said the company plans to start implanting computer chips into human brains by 2022.
The CEO of Neuralink and SpaceX also claimed that the device would be important for the human species to “discover” how to coexist with advanced artificial intelligence.
