Google and Samsung Lose Bid to Revive Location Technology Patent Probe

A patent administrative court rejected Google SARL and Samsung Electronics’ latest attempt to review the validity of an AGIS Software Development LLC patent covering location-sharing technology, ruling on Tuesday that delays in parallel litigation in district courts are not sufficient to reopen the investigation.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board said it would not grant a new hearing after refusing to review US Patent 9,820,123.
