In solar, Elon Musk has yet to prove himself

If the success of Elon Musk is beyond doubt in electric vehicles, it is much more contested in solar energy, on which the entrepreneur has bet since 2016, with the controversial takeover of the company founded by his cousins, SolarCity.

Acquired for around 2.6 billion dollars by Tesla, this company specializing in the installation of solar panels in private homes has seen its performance decline since, arousing the ire of some of the shareholders of the Californian group. Some have even taken legal action against Elon Musk, believing that he did not communicate to them all the difficulties of the company before initiating its acquisition. Some of them, however, were dismissed last week before the Delaware court.
