People have a new respect for Elon Musk after watching his new documentary on Netflix

Elon Musk’s recent takeover of Twitter has sparked some strong opinions, to say the least.

How fitting, then, this new Netflix documentary back in space now airs and paints the richest man in the world in a favorable light.

That’s Twitter’s view anyway, with users walking away from the documentary seeing Musk in a new light.

The space exploration documentary comes from Oscar-winning directors Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, and follows engineers from Elon Musk and SpaceX on their two-decade mission to return NASA astronauts to the International Space Station and revolutionize space travel.

The documentary begins with the Falcon 1 launch system, which SpaceX began manufacturing in 2006, and covers up to the Crew Dragon Demo-2, launched May 30, 2020, with Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on board.

Musk in particular has garnered a very positive response from Twitter users.

“After watching the Return to Space documentary on @netflix, you can’t help but marvel at the genius of @elonmusk

was born at least 50 years ahead of its time!! The conviction and passion with which he speaks of making humans multi-planetary species is just [fire] “wrote a user.

“I just saw ‘Return to Space’ on #Netflix and have even more respect for @elonmusk,” added another. “His emotions are clearly genuine and he literally put everything he had into what was widely considered impossible. Most would have retired – instead, he decided to do the impossible and did it. »

A third comment: “Highly recommend watching Return To Space on Netflix, after watching it you realize what a modern day genius Elon Musk is and a downright dude!! #ElonMusk #SpaceX. »

Musk faced something of a backlash after learning he was set to acquire Twitter for the princely sum of $44 billion. Some have questioned why he was spending so much money on the social media giant instead of delivering on his promise to end world poverty.

Many others, meanwhile, are speculating what he might do with the platform. Bill Gates, owner of Microsoft and former richest man in the world himself, has warned that he could make Twitter worse.

However, Gates then went on to say, “It’s not his track record.

“I mean his track record with Tesla and SpaceX is pretty mind-boggling to build a great engineering team and take people who work in those areas in a less daring way and really show it off.

“I a little doubt that will happen this time, but we have to have an open mind and never underestimate Elon. »
