Tesla: he burns his broken down vehicle and an effigy of Elon Musk

A slightly excessive decision. In Finland, a disgruntled owner set fire to his own Tesla brand vehicle accompanied by a mannequin bearing the image of Elon Musk, reports the La Nouvelle Tribune site. The car had broken down due to a problem with the battery cell. The young man, named Tuomas Katainen, had acquired this Tesla S Model 2013 thinking he was driving the ultimate electric car. “When I bought this Tesla, the first 1,500 kilometers were pleasant, it was a great car so far,” he said. Then the Tesla experienced some complications.

“The error code came in, so I ordered a tow truck to take my car to a service. The car spent about a month and a half in a Tesla dealer’s shop and I finally got a call telling me they couldn’t do anything for my car, the only option is to change the whole battery cell,” Tuomas Katainen continued in his explanation.

20,000 euros in repairs

The decision to destroy the vehicle came to him when he learned that the repairs should cost him at least 20,000 euros. “So I informed them that I was going to blow up the whole car because apparently there was no guarantee or anything,” he reiterated before carrying out his threat.
