This is certainly the automotive news of the day: while demand for Tesla continues to increase, which has resulted in a disproportionate lengthening of delivery times, the supermarket chain Carrefour formalizes this morning the arrival of Model 3 and Model Y in its fleet of rental vehicles.
These cars will initially be available in 80 stores*, and at very advantageous prices in 30 of them, the list of which you can discover at the bottom of this article.
Until July 31, it will indeed be necessary to count 59 € the first day of rental, then 119 to 149 € each day depending on the model chosen and the period of the week.
We can already imagine a surge of daily rental requests from customers wishing to discover electric mobility and the ” wow » Tesla accelerations.
“The evolution of our customers’ uses around mobility is accelerating! To respond to this, Carrefour is strengthening its rental service with an innovative offer of electric cars, the emblematic model of which is the Tesla. This offer will allow our customers to live a unique experience while supporting them towards the energy transition.”, comments Jean-Baptiste Prevoteau, Director of Merchant Services at Carrefour France.
Carrefour is not the first brand to offer Teslas, since Hertz had already formalized an order for 100,000 cars in the United States and Europe, deliverable by the end of 2022.
We note in passing that Hertz is more greedy than Carrefour. Caradisiac carried out a rental simulation this morning for 24 hours on weekdays in July in Paris, and this is invoiced at €280.
