A trailer for Cha Cha Real Smooth
Cha Cha Real Smooth stars Cooper Raiff as Andrew, a 22-year-old who, after dropping out of college, finds himself stuck at home with his family in New Jersey. When Andrew lands a job encouraging attendees to dance at his younger brother’s classmates’ bar and bat mitzvah, he befriends a local mother, Domino (played by Dakota Johnson), and his daughter, Lola (played by Vanessa Burghardt), and finally finds a future he wants. The film also stars Evan Assante, Brad Garrett, Raúl Castillo, Odeya Rush and Leslie Mann, who plays Andrew’s mother.
The film was written and directed by Cooper Raiff, who is on his second stint behind the camera after his film Shithouse, released at SXSW in 2020. Her first feature film impressed Dakota Johnson enough to participate in the one broadcast on Apple TV+. She wants to be a producer, in addition to being an actress.
The output of Cha Cha Real Smooth will be available on June 17 on Apple TV+.
