United States: an “extremely dangerous” inmate vanished, a prison guard suspected of having helped him

Casey White, who was serving a 75-year sentence, is suspected of having escaped with the help of a prison employee with whom he would have a relationship.

2.06 meters for 118 kilos. One would think that Casey White would not go unnoticed given his measurements. However, this American prisoner vanished into thin air. Since Friday, April 29, the police have been mobilized to locate this man who escaped from the county jail of Lauderdale, in the city of Florence, Alabama.

White was imprisoned after being sentenced to 75 years in prison for a long series of offences. He was also facing one count of murder after admitting to killing a 58-year-old woman in 2015.

Casey White was last seen in prison surveillance footage at 9:41 a.m. Friday. We see the prisoner exit through a door, handcuffed, accompanied by a prison administration official, Vicky White. The latter had apparently stated that she was taking him to court for a psychological evaluation. An appointment from which neither of them returned.

Supervisor’s help

The police are therefore closely studying the role of this woman who today seems far from trivial. She is suspected of helping Casey White escape.

Especially since no meeting was scheduled that day and usually, trips are always supervised by two employees.

On Monday, the Lauderdale County Sheriff claimed law enforcement “knew she was involved” in the escape. They nevertheless wonder about how it happened: “Did she do it on her own or was she coerced by force or threat?” Asked the sheriff .

Other gray areas remain concerning this 56-year-old woman: she had planned to retire, this Friday, April 29 was her last day in the prison administration. She had also sold her house a short time ago.

The hypothesis of a romantic relationship between the two people is also closely studied.
