Monday June 6, 2022, Numerama was in Cupertino for WWDC 2022. For the first time, media had the opportunity to enter Apple Park. We have produced several videos, one long and six short, to reveal as much information as possible behind the scenes of the event.
On September 10, 2019, Apple announced the iPhone 11 from the Steve Jobs Theater, the amphitheater on its Apple Park campus. At that time, who could have imagined that there wouldn’t be a new keynote for two years? Although Apple hosted nine events between 2020 and early 2022, none were held with an audience. The coronavirus pandemic got the better of the craziness of Apple events, which turned into pre-recorded videos.
Two and a half years later, here is the return of Apple keynotes… or almost. While there were indeed hundreds of developers and media present at Apple Park on June 6, 2022, including Numerama, Apple wanted to learn from the lessons of Covid and create new events adapted to the situation. Antigen tests, mandatory masks, outdoor conference, virtual meetings… WWDC 2022 was the first conference of its kind. We have decided to tell you about it in several videos, in order to answer any questions you may have about this type of event.
